Professional Energy Audit
This "Do It Yourself" Energy Audit gives you some simple tips and measures you can do yourself to help improve the energy efficiency of your home and help you save valuable energy $$$$!
There are several reasons to consider a professional Energy Audit of your home:

- to find cause for elevated electric use.
- to determine sizing of a new heating and cooling system

NCMEC provides energy audits for members at low initial price of $200, then if the member upgrades their home to the auditors recommendation they will receive $100 refund.
Getting Your Home Evaluated
Energy Audits are conducted by trained personnel who can not only visually inspect your home, but test for hidden air leakage by using the latest in Blower Door technology.
Using the results of visual inspection and/or blower door testing, the energy auditor can give you suggestions on steps you can take to make your home more energy-efficient.
He/She can also use that evaluation to size and design a new Comfort System for your home. Your comfort depends on having a heating and cooling system that can adequately handle the heat loss of your home in the Winter and the heat gain in the Summer. Without a professional Energy Audit, determination of that need is a "by guess and by gosh" estimate.
